About Lava Stone
Lava Stone is a vesicular (porous) basalt formed from rapidly cooled volcanic lava. The natural gas pockets create a distinctive rough, textured surface that is inherently slip-resistant — making it ideal for wet areas such as pool surrounds, spa floors, and outdoor terraces. The porous structure also provides excellent thermal insulation, keeping the surface cool underfoot even in direct sunlight. Shandong Kingstone supplies Lava Stone in tiles, slabs, and custom formats. The stone can be supplied with natural cleft, bush-hammered, or lightly honed finishes. Appearance: Dark grey to black with visible natural pores and vesicles. Rough, textured surface. Each piece has unique pore distribution — no two tiles are identical.
